Hôtel Escaletto

The location was perfect to see all the sights in Aix within the short walking distance; yet, it was very quiet and ensured good rest and sleep. The room was very neat and clean. The rooftop views are amazing.

Our stay was excellent. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The hotel is very nice, clean, and neat. The rooms were a good size for European sized hotel rooms (smaller compared to American rooms as expected but perfectly functional!). There was lots of open storage space cubbies near the door to our room which was great to access and keep track of all of our items during our stay. The views of the city from our room were gorgeous, as were the views from the rooftop area. We stayed in mid-April, so it was a bit chilly at night. I can imagine when the weather is warmer it would be a great place to sit and have a drink in the evening. The area is safe and provides easy access to the main areas of Aix. We traveled on foot our whole stay and never felt too far away to get back to the hotel. We also came and went late in the evening and always felt safe. Very excellent stay! Would definitely recommend!

Location was one block from the old city, which was perfect. It was quiet at night for a good night sleep. I didn’t have the breakfast but the spread looked impressive including hard boiled eggs and crepes.

Design of the hotel and decor were exceptional, as was its location. Staff is very friendly and helpful and the bar area fantastic. Love the refreshing lemon water. The breakfast was the best I've had in months! Fantastic sitting area and food quality and selection. Room was small but delightful. Loved the art that was on display and for sale.

The location was wonderful. The staff was extremely courteous and helpful for ordering our taxi to the train . The hotel felt safe. The rooftop deck was very nice option for an afternoon aperitif ! They also ordered gluten free bread for every breakfast for my husband who is celiac
